Moonshine Society Album

 It's been a full year indeed!  The upcoming "Live in Shanghai" album from Moonshine Society will be released December 10th on CD and vinyl.  CD Release Party will be on Sat, December 17th at the Bayou in DC!  The album was recorded live at the House of Blues and Jazz in Shanghai, China.  Sneak peeks and purchase links will be available at moonshinesociety.com and iTunes.

Black Betty can currently be found performing six nights a week at the House of Blues and Jazz in Shanghai.  Charlie Sayles and Moonshine Society are the resident house band until April 5th and are loving the city.  A live album recording will take place within the month, and will be released on the Moonshine Society website.

The band is currently featured on Delta Sky Mag's website as an event in Shanghai not to be missed.  They also opened for Wu Tang Clan's "RZA" at a private Hollywood party for the film crew and cast of "The Man With the Iron Fists" (filming in Shanghai) last week. 

Going to China!

Charlie Sayles and Moonshine Society will be performing at the House of Blues And Jazz in Shanghai, China from January through early April 2011!  We couldn't be more excited, and will be hosting a Bon Voyage Concert on Thursday, Dec. 16th at the Surf Club in Bladensburg, MD.  We'll see you there!

New images and special guests

 Summer has been busy, busy, busy.  Moonshine Society just shot new photos at the American Visionary Art Museum, and new images will be posted here at on the Society website.

The shows this summer have featured amazing special guests, including Ed Crowley and David Rosenberg on harmonica, Steve Wilkes on drums, and Pete Ragusa (The Nighthawks) on drums and vocals.  This little gal is sure getting spoiled!

Video clips, TV spots, and new recordings- oh my!

Memphis Gold Double Albums

 I've been in the studio with Memphis Gold for the last couple weeks as he is finishing two brand new albums- Gator Gon' Bitchu and Pickin' in High Cotton.  You'll find me on backing vocals as well as lyrics that I've written for him.  Both albums will be available March 3rd on CD Baby and his official website (which I just finished designing).  We'll be performing at Blues Alley in DC on March 3rd, which will be an amazing time- Official Gibson Award Ceremony, Memphis Gold Birthday Bash, and CD Release Party all in one.  Come on out!
