This from the latest ZipCar Newsletter:
"We're all for the occasional kicking of a bad habit. In fact we're proud to say we've kicked quite a few ourselves -- especially the over-consumption, car-owning, smog-spewing sorts. And yah, we're also trying to cut down on that MySpace-checking habit. But some are just too fun to kick. And Black Betty and the Bad Habits is one such example.
In fact, we've found them so addictive, that we're going to help this band of Zipsters out by randomly placing a bunch of their CDs in Zipcars around Boston for your foot-stomping and butt-shaking listening enjoyment. So if you find one, keep it -- it's yours!"
Also, stay tuned for our ZipCar video blog - we've been busy filming our shinanigans, and videos will be available for your enjoyment in the near future!
Turn on, tune in, and check it out - we got interviewed! Recently, the Berklee Internet Radio Network, (better known as The BIRN) spoke with Black Betty, Scotch Hollow, Krysta Youngs, Rachel Black, and Megan Burtt. Check out the interview at www.thebirn.com.
Also, tune in to Radio Free NY on April 24 to catch a live on-air performance and interview with ALL of the Bad Habits!
Recently, the band entered into a working relationship with Zipcar- an innovative and young company offering a new model for automobile transportation. Providing an environmentally conscious solution to city dwellers needing personal transportation, Zipcar can be found in 10 major cities worldwide and continues to expand. Black Betty and The Bad Habits can now be seen Zipping to and from their shows, and we will have online video blogs featuring their adventures with Zipcar!
We've been working with local video wizard Alex Jones in preparation for the production of the music video for "Vigilante." As of now, we can't tell you much other than that filming is slated for March, 2007; The concept is based on retro gangs and glamour; and there will be an un-called-for amount of beautiful women! If you'd like to be part of it, we'd be glad to have you - we're casting for extras as you read this! Simply Click Here to email us!
We are pleased to anounce that we were included on an awesome soundtrack for The Great Boston Burlesque Expo! Along with other local notables such as Hoodoo Revelator and Johnny Carlevale, the Bad Habits are now regular repertoire for local troupes such as Thru The Keyhole Burlesque and The Boston Babydolls.
The Great Boston Burlesque Expo is the brainchild of Ol' Scratch (Boston Babydolls), and is Boston's first expo of it's kind. Featuring 3 days of showcases, workshops, competitions, and concerts, it promises to be a hedonistic heaven-on-earth.

So, some cool stuff happens when you're in a rock band - besides the wholesome company and the healthy lifestyle, people start making you clothes! The Bad Habits are now officially endorsed by both Spes & Timor, Inc. (Boston) and To Die For Clothing (Canada). You'll being seeing the S&T threads soon on the boys in the band, and To Die For has created a line of (dare we say) friggin' sweet corsets appropriately called "The Betty." The best part is, these are both independent companies, and so continue the fine tradition of Stickin' It to The Man. To check out more offerings from these companies, check them out online at www.SpesAndTimor.com and www.ToDieForClothing.com.
Quite possibly the coolest gift that anyone in the band got this Christmas was a van. Yep - let's take a minute and thank our drummer Rob's folks for such a wonderful thing as a Mini-Van! Not only does Rob now have the ability to fit in at a Soccer Mom convention, but we are now able to lug our sorry asses to whereever the hell we please. This means that if you live in Worcester, Plymouth, Hyannis, Providence, Somerville, New Hampshire, or D.C. - you're on our list. We're coming to rock you. Hard. Just the way you like it.
So what can you do now that we have wheels? Well, first, put on some freakin' clothes, check out our Gig Calendar, grab some friends, and then come out to the show!
A little birdy told us that someone down the Cape likes our stuff - enough to feature us on Southshore Muse.com for the month of February! We're delighted, of course - we have a lot of pull with some big-shots, but it's not every day someone turns over their website to us. Do yourself (and us!) a favor - check out the Southshore Muse Here. Aside from ourselves, there's a ton of cool local music, a show calendar, and other juicy stuff cherry-picked from the New England music scene.
